The Indiana Careers in Construction Association (ICCA) represents more than 60 different construction apprenticeship training facilities throughout Indiana. The mission of the ICCA is to educate career bound and college bound Hoosiers about educational and career opportunities in the construction Industry. Our mission is to recruit, train and place a new generation of construction professionals seeking high demand careers with strong salary potential.

The Indiana Careers in Construction Association boasts more than 60 apprenticeship training locations statewide. Trades range from Boilermakers, Bricklayers, Carpenters, Electricians, Elevator Constructors, Insulators, Ironworkers, Laborers, Operators, Painters & Glaziers, Plumbers and Pipefitters, Plasterers and Cement Masons, Roofers and Sheet Metal Workers. Each of our apprenticeship training facilities offer trade classes and on the job training to help prepare you for a career in construction.

Associates’ Degree Partnership
College is expensive and costs are rising. You have probably talked to your parents about the cost of higher education. You know it is a costly investment. You want to make sure your salary and career potential reflect your investment. The Indiana Careers in Construction Industry can help you earn an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science while you are completing your apprenticeship program AND earning a paycheck. No student loan debt. Now, bring that up at dinner with your parents!
Since 1993, more than 13,000 apprentices from the Indiana Union Construction Industry have earned an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from Ivy Tech Community College.
This two-year degree is earned at no additional cost to the student and is a direct result of Ivy Tech’s partnership with the Indiana Union Construction Industry.

Apprentices Enrolled in the Indiana Union Construction Industry: There are nearly 8,000 apprentices enrolled in training programs in the Indiana Union Construction Industry.
78% of all construction apprentices in the state of Indiana were enrolled in union training programs. The next largest training competitor claimed 700 apprentices enrolled in training.
Dollars invested each year in training in the Indiana Union Construction Industry: The Indiana Union Construction Industry makes an annual private industry investment of more than $42 million dollars in apprenticeship training through jointly managed apprenticeship programs.
